MaxBack Troubleshooting
If you run into an issue, please spend a minute collecting the right information to help us help you.
Log files
The most valuable piece of information you can provide is always the log file generated at:
C:\ProgramData\dbosoft\MaxBack\VSSWriter\<DBName>\logs
The debug.txt file contains the most detailed diagnostics. Please include the log files in any support request.
Warnings and errors are also written to the Windows Application Event Log (source: MaxBack VssWriter), so they are visible in the Windows Event Viewer.
You can also check the current service status using:
maxback.vssclient db info -d <dbname>
Additionally, please explain how to reproduce the issue in a step-by-step fashion. Otherwise it's going to be a lot of back and forth until we can better understand your issue.
